 Francis Xavier Department of Management Studies (FXDoMS), which was set up in 2005, is committed to producing highly disciplined and talented graduates tailored to meet the challenges of modern business world. FXDoMS transforms management aspirants to the NextGen global professionals of high social responsibility and business discipline. The Department educates and trains business graduates not only for career, but also for life. The faculty and students are encouraged to take active participation in all events that are academic as well as co-curricular and extra-curricular in nature. Strong emphasis is laid on external exposure and students are encouraged to take current and issue-based research projects in conjunction with their specialization over and above the curriculum.

Association

      The Department Association, “SPARKLES” plays a vital role in connecting the staff and students to the rest of the business world. SPARKLES organizes students’ development activities aiming at development of their IQ, Emotional Quotient & Spiritual Quotient. As the Association believes that Leadership is transformational, it organizes various programmes to transform the students not simply into managers, but leaders. Many programmes connected to the mission have recently been conducted at FXDoMS.    

 

Management Clubs

 

    Management Clubs of the Department is to organize various events, competition, seminars at students level, so that their knowledge, skills and talents shall be enhanced. Most of the events that management clubs organize will be directed towards students’ employability and competitiveness. The Department has three clubs at present headed by students under the proper guidance of the faculty members. Each club shall be coordinated by a faculty member.

PROGRAM EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES (PEOs)

PEO 1 – Business Ethics and Social Responsiveness: Graduates will become an ethical and social responsive person for the society.

 

PEO 2 –Critical Thinking, Business Analysis, Problem solving and InnovationGraduates will demonstrate core competence in critical thinking, business analysis, problem solving and innovation which is necessary to be an entrepreneur.
