About
The Civil Engineering Department was started in the year 2012 with an intake of 60 students. The intake has been increased to 180 students in the year 2014.The department has an eminent faculty team with specialization in Structural Engineering, Soil Mechanics, Environmental Engineering, Irrigation and Water resources, Construction Technology and Transportation Engineering. Our students have excelled in the Anna University exams and are securing Anna University ranks every year.
Civil Department, being one of the primary departments was established in year 2012 with the aim to produce world-class students with excellent analytical, communication skills, team building spirit and ethical behavior with ability to work in every type of environment. The educational curricula of the department of civil engineering are designed to promote innovative knowledge and critical problem solving thinking in the minds of budding engineers to face their future challenges.
The department is very active in conducting conferences, workshops, short term courses, seminars and skill and training etc.Apart from academic works, the department of Civil Engineering is also involved in consultancy works like Surveying, Mix Designs, Soil investigations, material testing, Cube testing etc. The regular industrial visits and in-plant training are arranged with the industries like CSIR – Structural Engineering Research Centre, L&T etc to enhance the skill level of the students.

HOD DESK
Civil Engineering is a versatile and evergreen branch of engineering. Civil engineer can work in various fields like Construction manager, geotechnical engineer, Environmental engineer,public health engineer, Transportation engineer, Urban planning engineer in Private and public sector and most importantly in software field also. Department has well qualified and dedicated faculty with well-developed laboratories. We impart quality engineering education through sound theoretical knowledge, hands on laboratory as well as computational skill and exposure to recent technologies by visiting industries & expert talk. We provide opportunities for students to participate in various technical and sports events /competitions.

ALUMNI ASSOCIATION
The Alumni Association was started in the year 2016, with the sole aim of setting up an excellent network amongst our students and our College.
